Knowing Jesus Christ

“I know whom I have believed.” 2 Timothy 1:12.

It’s not knowing ABOUT Christ, but knowing Him.

When some of us were not Christians yet, born again in the Spirit, we were asked by Christian evangelists if we know Jesus. Our personal experience reminds us that we even told the evangelists: ”Yes, I know all there is to know about Jesus, what is there more to know about him?”

The word ”know” in the Bible mostly says about the Greek word Ginosko – which is a term used to refer to knowing intimately, relational, experiential knowledge instead of Oida – Greek term for acquiring knowledge through observation, nothing to do with relationship.

You can have all the knowledge in this world, know all the doctrines and like Solomon, you would know all these are meaningless.

But knowing and experiencing Jesus, not just knowing about Him, but knowing Him intimately are more than all the jewels that this world could ever give you.

Know Christ, Love Christ, Share Christ!
