JOHN 5:25-47
The attributes of the Son equals that of the Father in works (v19), love (v20), life-and-death power (v21), judgment (v22), and honor of God (v23). And those who do not accept Christ do not accept God, therefore they will not have eternal life (v24).
We need to be reconciled with God through the spirit. Christ is our salvation. And because He has power over death anyone can be made alive through Him. And we are waiting for His coming that even those believers who died will be called from their graves for eternal judgement … life in heaven with the Lord.
Col 2:13
When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
There’s no reason for us not to believe in the Son if God. Testimonies are made known to us: by the prophets like John, by the great miracles that He performed and through the scriptures written about Him. What other proofs do we need to accept the gift of God?
Prayer,
Almighty God, thank you for your great love for us. Thank for sending Christ who brought us back to life when we died because of our sins. We are looking forward to Your coming to judge the living and the dead and bringing in heaven all those who believed in You.
