DAY 130 BIBLE READING
JOHN 3:1-21

REFLECTION:
Nicodemus is a man very different from most of the Pharisees that we read in the New Testament. Nicodemus came to Jesus at night, he came for a purpose or his own. We are not sure, but Nicodemus comes to Jesus seeking a conversation. Maybe he was confused or maybe he was coming because he was seeking answers and/or information. We know that Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea were two who would come to believe in Jesus. (John 19:39) In their conversation, Jesus speaks of being “born again”(v.3). Jesus explains it in verses 5-8
Spiritual birth refers to when the Holy Spirit comes to reside in a person at their moment of salvation or justification. The Spirit works in ways that we simply cannot understand or predict. It is a gift from God (Romans 8:16, 1 Corinthians 2:10-12 and 1 Thessalonians 1:5,6).
When we read the most famous verse of the Bible, we see that Christ came for all who would believe. God loves the whole world and sought to give each one eternal life to all (John 3:16). However, they must believe in whom Jesus was/is/will be.
I pray, may this time of circuit breaker made a way for us to share the gospel to our family and friends. Jesus did His part… what is our part? ‘UNLESS A MAN BE BORN AGAIN, HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD
